Limits Of Size: (Letters - Printed Paper - Small Packets) Maxima:
Length, width and depth combined: 90 cm but the greatest dimension may
not exceed 60 cm with a tolerance of 2 mm.
In roll form: Length plus twice the diameter, 104 cm, but the greatest
dimension may not exceed 90 cm with a tolerance of 2 mm.
Minima:
To have a surface measuring not less than 9 x 14 cm, with a tolerance of
2 mm.
In roll form: Length plus twice the diameter, 17 cm, but the greatest
dimension may not exceed 10 cm with a tolerance of 2 mm.
Limits of Weight:
Letters: 2 KGs.
Printed Paper: 2 KGs. ( 5 KGs. if the content is a book).
Small Packets : 2 KGs.
Literature of the Blind : 7 KGs.

Secure and fast
service for international posting items to more than 101 courtiers around the
world, available for customers in the post offices or main EMS office. The

Q-Post Money Transfer Service is a new and easy system
of postal money transfer. The service is available in 21 countries around the

Q-Post Premium System – QPP
This service is
intended for organizations such as banks and companies where by
Q-Post
distributes and delivers to the customer’s home or office as required by the
customer, high valued items such as Credit/Debit/ATM/Club/Loyalty cards etc.
This is a highly persona lised service, which entails multiple follow-ups with
clients to ensure quick, safe and reliable delivery of articles. An online
tracking facility is also offered to the clients, enabling them to check the
status of delivery through the Internet. Refer to the
QPP page to read more on the service.

e-Government
The e-government system was implemented on 5th September 2000 and
enabled
Q-Post to join forces with the Ministry of the Interior in the renewal of
Residence Permits electronically. The e-government
system allows for the collection and delivery in sealed bags, which contain
passports and documents from Q-Post to the Immigration Department and back, and
to produce and store all the relevant documentation.
Currently more than 25 companies in Qatar are benefiting from the
e-government system and the number is increasing daily. Companies can expect to
renew their employee’s Residents Permits within a period of less than 2 days.

e-Resident
Q-Post
e-Resident is an online extranet service in partnership with the Ministry of
Interior and immigration, which allows the general public to re-new their
dependents residence Visa and ID Cards. The system includes e-banking, which
handles the transfer of funds from Q-Post to the Immigration Department bank
account when a
residence visa is processed. The service went live 15th

Street Letter Posting Boxes
Q-Post has 201 street letter posting boxes, distributed in ten zones covering 48
districts in Qatar. Letters are collected from the boxes at 8am and 4pm.

The main head office
is equipped with 25,000 fully computerized electronic

Follow Me
If you
are on vacation or out of Qatar on business or you wish us to forward
your mail to another location inside Qatar, the Follow Me Service from
Q-Post will forward your private mail to the specified location. We offer
different options for forwarding mail on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis
to a selected location. Q-Post will inform the customer in the case of
credit shortage but the service will keep going until the next payment by
the customer.

Qatar Telecomm Counter
Qatar Telecomm makes available
six counters for bill payments at the post main
office in West Bay. Counters 1 to 6 are open for public from 07:00 hrs – 20:00 hrs
from Sunday to Thursday, and from 08:00 hrs to 11:00 hrs and from 17:00 - 20:00
on Saturday, Friday
closed.

Kahrama Counter
Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation makes available two counters for
bill payments at the post main office in West Bay. Counter 7 and 8 are open for
public from 07:00hrs – 13:00hrs from Sunday to Thursday, and from 08:00hrs to
11:00hrs in Saturday, Friday closed.
Q-Post
has lunched a new service for Kahrama bill payment at Counter
9 in the
main post office building which is open from Sunday – Thursday 7:00
AM – 8:00 PM. and from 8:00 - 11:00 and from 17:00 - 20:00 on Saturday. The service is also available at post office branches.

Philatelic
Stamps provide a
vivid reflection of history through the ages; at the time of issue virtually
every stamp had clear historical significance. And every stamp allows an insight
into the political, social, economic or technological events for the country
that issued it. So stamps provide a unique record of a country's development, a
fact that makes their availability to future generations of ever more

International Reply
Coupon
This coupon is
exchangeable in any country of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) for one or more
postage stamps representing the minimum postage for an unregistered priority
item or an unregistered letter sent by air to foreign country. Available at our
head office counter in West Bay at
a cost of QR 4.00.

Stationary Provision Contracts
Contract
management for pre-printed stationary to our Trading Partner’s design and
standard; negotiation and administration services are available from Q-Post.
This includes greeting and post cards for special occasions such as Ramadan or
Eid.

Enquiry
The enquiry section of Q-Post will answer enquiries on EMS, Registered or
Parcels postal items as follows:

Enquiry will be
accepted for EMS items within a period of three months and Registered/Parcels
items within a period of six months from the day of posting.

The sender must
present the EMS, Registered or Parcel receipts in case of any enquiry.

Enquiries are free
of charge for EMS items.

In case of the loss
of an item, compensation will be paid according to the Universal Postal Union
convention.
The sender is
entitled to an indemnity if his/her item is confirmed as lost.
The amount of
indemnity for an EMS or Registered is SDR 30.00 (1 SDR is equivalent to US$
1.33576)
The amount of
indemnity for a parcel item will be paid according to the weight of the parcel.

Public Health Card Renewal
The General Postal Corporation in co-operation with the Ministry of Public
Health presents a new service for the public, The service provides a fast and
efficient 48 process for Public Health Card Applying at no extra charge, The
service is available at counter position 16 in General Postal Corporation main
building at West Bay in Doha. The service is available now and has been
operational since the 2nd April 2003.

Driving License Delivery
Q-Post the
General Postal Corporation in co-operation with the Ministry of Interior
(Traffic Department) presents a new service for the public. The service
provides fast delivery for renewed Driving License's at small cost. While
applying online to renew an expired driving license via the
MOI website,
the customer has the choice to select between two methods of delivery by Q-Post.
